Where'd Everybody Go?

Off to the far corners of the globe, leaving the rest of us to our winter dolors.

Nanarama's Nan spent her birthday in New Orleans, paying devout respects to Fats Domino's piano.

And the day after at L'il Dizzy's in the Treme.

I put on three pounds just reading her posts.

Slow Love Life's Dominique Browning is writing/pictorializing the rapturous beauty and humbling grandeur of India, visiting the house where Gandhi spent his last months and recording the soothing bliss of cool stone.

And Brenda and the F Word's Brenda is in Italy, up to gawd knows what but finding her own epiphanies.

As for me, I will descending upon Italy myself next month, time-traveling all the way back to the glory that was ancient Rome.

The more pedantic might point out that this is a somewhat misleading way to describe a few days at Caesars Palace in Atlantic City, but that's because they're just jealous. The cattiness of the blogosphere can be so distressing, even to a centurion like myself.
