Red, White, and Blooey

On the escalator ride back up into rainy daylight after an afternoon showing of Captain America yesterday, it occurred to me that the Tea Party is to the Republican Party what HYDRA was to Nazi Germany?its even more chosen, fanatical, mind-fisted core.

Which would make Rick Perry the Red Skull.

Something to think about, when you have a spare moment.

As for the movie itself, a lot of noise and commotion where the presence of Tommy Lee Jones and his hickory line readings was the only thing keeping it from being as personality-devoid as Tim Pawlenty?s truncated presidential campaign.

I may be overstretching these political analogies, something I intend to mention to my Feldenkrais instructor during our session this afternoon, after I bring her up to date on all the ?latest news? in my life.
