The Soros and the Pity

Little Miss Attila, whose persistent coy attempts to tickle Robert Stacy McCain's attentions (it's Stacy this, Stacy that), oh Stacy link to me please baby please baby please baby please) make for a new kind of sad, laments that her fellow bloggers in economic need must resort to rattling the tin cup to keep the hamster wheel turning.

If only the Koch brothers were as generous as George Soros . . . there are dozens, if not hundreds of us: top-notch talent, living on PayPal tips-or struggling to do this around day jobs.

Someone should start a ?right-wing blog? adoption agency, and match us up with wealthy conservatives. But wealthy conservatives, so far, don?t really believe in the internet. {sigh}

Leaving aside the sweet delusion she hosts of the bench strength of all that "top-notch talent" on the right, LMA might want to acquaint herself of John Simon's response when asked if Hollywood studios had bought off a certain LA film critic:

"Why should they pay for something they can have for free?"

Why should billionaire the Koch brothers flick spare change at cicadas who are already dependably, monotonously, demagogically bashing unions, NPR, Planned Parenthood, feminism, Al Gore, Obama, and everything else on the checklist for nuthin'? They would only do it out of charity, and I'm sure these intrepid bloggers have too much pride and self-respect to accept corporate charity.

Because, you know, they consider themselves OUTLAWS.

Or cast-offs, I forget which.
